A Sad Day For Connecticut, A Good Day For Newt

As the election returns are counted and a concession speech already delivered, it has become fact that the Democratic Party has taken a turn for the worse in Connecticut. Ned Lamont's historic win last night defeating Sen. Lieberman in the Democratic Primary, means many things, but one factor deridingly stands out. The Democratic Party over the next few years is going to turn increasingly liberal. With this win, the reign of Clintonian moderation started in the early 1990s has ended and a return to the liberal politics of Ted Kennedy and Jesse Jackson have returned. As the Democratic Party becomes increasingly more liberal, it gives us as Republicans and more importantly as Newt supporters the opportunity to draw clear distinctions between our conservative candidate and the politics of socialism, the Democrats now preach. As Newt supporters it is our duty to spread the message of the new found liberalism in the Democratic Party; we must show the voters the distinct difference between Newt's message of conservatism, prosperity, and faith as compared to the Democrats new message of socialist propaganda focusing on a cut and run strategy in the War on Terror. Liberals may have won the battle for the Democratic Party, but it is up to us to see that they DO NOT win the battle for America!!!
