Newt: Dems More Fired Up Than GOP

Following the theme of the previous post, Gingrich acknowledges what the "none-of-the-above" attitude among the GOP base means politically.

The New York Post: Dems More Fired Up Than GOP: Newt

"I don't get from anybody on our side a sense of mission," Gingrich said. "I think 'none of the above' currently would beat them."

Gingrich was referring to Giuliani, Mitt Romney and Fred Thompson, who is expected to enter the race. He has written off John McCain.

Gingrich said that Obama has made pulling out of Iraq "his mission in life," and that Clinton connects with all the "liberal bases" with a "methodical professionalism."

I hope Newt does get into the race. Personally, as a Republican, I am having a hard time getting excited about any of these candidates. The only reason the Dems feel fired up is they know no one on our side is willing to embrace our President. If Newt comes out supporting our President in whatever he does and just have faith, he will win! I can't wait to see Gingrich go head to head with Clinton. With family values on his side, he will trounce her soundly! Run Newt!

We need someone with Newt's strong understanding of history and his grasp of the "big picture" ie his vision. That will beat the Dems.
P.S.
The NRSC is conducting a straw poll on their sight, www.nrsc.org where you can write in Newt as your choice for President.
