Newt's Hint at the White House!
Yesterday, after Newt's speech at the American Enterprise Institute (which can be found here), he told attendees something a little bit more specific than a "maybe" about his plans for the White House.
Washington Times: Gingrich hints of White House bid
"I will decide based on whether I have about $30 million in committed campaign contributions and whether I think it is possible to run a campaign based on ideas rather than 30-second sound bites," the former House speaker told The Washington Times yesterday.
[...]Mr. Gingrich figures he would need at least $30 million to conduct competitive television-ad campaigns in the first five primary and caucus states — Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina and perhaps Florida or Michigan. The primary calendar is still up in the air.

Where do we send the $30 Million to? He says he wants the money, but I can't figure out where to send it.

I'm all set to donate! We need Newt! Where and when will the site be set up for that?

Please run. Thank you for being creative using the internet to hear the people instead using polls and polictical party positions Please help us restore our country. WE are sick of the destructive discusting Republican/Democrat battle. We are sick of the two parties fighting backstabbing, making promises and NEVER following through. We pay them do do nothing. WE THE PEOPLE ARE SICK OF IT.
Please run so we have someone to vote for that will be in charge and LEAD.

Where do we donate towards that 30 Million? I am in for $100
Posted by: KH | September 23, 2007 3:18 PM
We only need 300,000 to give $100 each. I think this would show a groundswell of support to the media. Let's do it within a week of posting.
Next stop is having an organization sponsor a true debate of ideas among the republican candidates with a smart, non-partisan moderator.

You can count me in for $100 and I'm sure many of the people I know would do the same. I had all but lost hope that we might get someone worth their salt in office. I have reason lift my chin a bit higher today. Every time you hear Newt speak you can't help but think "boy....he would make a great president".

What a major disappointment for everyone that waited so long for Speaker Gingrich to announce his candidacy for President and I’m sorry I don’t buy the excuse given that Speaker Gingrich can do more for America as the citizen leader of American Solutions for Winning the Future than as an “uncertain candidate” for President.
I believe all of us waiting for his announcement are still convinced that he was and is the strongest Republican candidate and would have and still could become the Republican candidate and hence, the next President of the United States of America.
I, as I’m sure many of you, consider him the only candidate with the proper historical perspective to lead this country during this era of instability and the acumen to reform our government to prepare for both the dangers and the challenges of the 21st century.
Perhaps it is now too late but I find it unacceptable for Speaker Gingrich to not participate in the quest for the leadership of America particularly when the stakes are so high.
I’ve read all the excuses and frankly I’m not convinced that American Solutions cannot continue without his leadership while he pursues the presidency. I am convinced however that the current Republican candidates cannot begin to measure up to the leadership Speaker Gingrich could have brought to this country as our President.
Get back in and win!
