Supporting Newt
It would seem that over the past few weeks, many of the so called ââ¬Åexpertsââ¬Â have been touting Barak Obama, Hillary, Mitt Romney, and Rudy Giuliani as the contenders for the 2008 Presidential Election. It is time to get Newt and his message to the forefront of the American public. Now that 2007 is upon us, there is a great deal that everyone who supports Newt can do. Talk to your friends, neighbors, and co-workers about Newt, organize a discussion group focusing on Newtââ¬â¢s ideas, write a ââ¬Åletter to the editorââ¬Â in your local newspaper citing Newtââ¬â¢s proposals, call in to local and national talk radio shows to discuss Newt, and correspond regularly with other people who support Newt in your state and in other parts of the U.S. Most polls show that Newt would be a more than formidable candidate and that many, many people would support a Gingrich candidacy. Itââ¬â¢s time we open the experts eyes a little.
Newt On the Campaign Trail for the GOP
Newt Gingrich is showing he still knows how to campaign, and he's a highly requested GOP campaigner for candidates around the country. Newt will be in Indiana campaigning a number of Republicans. The seats in Indiana are seen as some of the most vulnerable in the country.(

Newt was also in Ohio to stump for Ken Blackwell. Newt championed Blackwell's commitment to tax cuts and pointed out that Democrats are undoubtedly in favor of higher taxes. "Gingrich said Blackwell's Democratic opponent, Rep. Ted Strickland, has a record of voting for higher taxes. "The gap between Strickland's record of consistently voting for tax increases and against tax cuts and Ken Blackwell's consistent passion for lower taxes and more economic activity and more job creation, more opportunity, could hardly be wider," Gingrich told reporters at the Dayton Wright Brothers Airport in this Dayton suburb before accompanying Blackwell to a fundraiser."
Newt also noted that Republicans appear to be making a comeback in the wake of the Foley scandal. "If we get two more weeks of movement the way we've gotten over the last week, we'll keep the House by six to eight seats," he said.
Newt still will not confirm if he's running for President, he said he will decide next September on whether he will run in 2008.

Newt's Ideas on Education Being Utilized
I was recently reviewing some of the new reforms and programs various educational task forces and groups are proposing for Ohio. Many of them seem to be adopting some of Newt Gingrichââ¬â¢s innovations to strengthen U.S. education. One overriding theme in these programs is the use of college instructors, professors, and classes for high school students. For several years now Newt has often spoke about using college professors (especially those who may be retired or semi-retired and still want to teach), to instruct in the high school setting. This would greatly benefit our students in the areas of math and science and even allow students to begin to earn college credits at earlier ages. It is nice to know that Newtââ¬â¢s ideas are beginning to be utilized.
Newt Supports Ken Blackwell
Here in Ohio we have an upcoming election for Governor. The GOP candidate is current Ohio Sec. of State Ken Blackwell. The Democratic candidate is Congressman Ted Strickland. Blackwell has been campaigning on a platform of lower taxes, reducing government spending, and educational choice. This past April, Newt Gingrich gave his endorsement to Ken Blackwell. Newt compared Blackwell to Ronald Reagan and spoke highly of Blackwell being a person of "new ideas and new strategies" . The Ohio Secretary of State called Newt "a true hero of the conservative movement".
Unfortunately, heading into autumn, this election is becoming a battle for Ken Blackwell. The Democrats have been somewhat successful in connecting him to the administration of the embattled outgoing governor Bob Taft. Like Newt though, Blackwell is a fighter. He is a man of principle whose ideas and convictions echo those of Newt's. I am sure that these characteristics and ideas will win over the voters of Ohio (especially when they see and hear Ken at more rallies and in upcoming debates with Strickland). I am very positive and optimistic Ohio will have a "Newt Gingrich Republican" governor this November.
